Footprints First Young Ambassador Announced!

26.6.24

We are delighted to share the very exciting news that Scarlett Baumber is our very first Footprints Young Ambassador!

Scarlett Baumber

Scarlett used to attend Footprints when she was younger and has also fundraised for us in the past, including a bike ride. Scarlett and her family have recently been back to our centre, first for our STEM workshop for the Nottingham Festival of Science & Curiosity and also for the rehearsals for our Charity Song.

Scarlett told us “I’m feeling really excited about being Footprints Young Ambassador, and also a little bit nervous! I’m going to be brave as I really want to support Footprints and also help other children and families who live with different disabilities like me.

I use eye gaze to communicate and I want to be an ambassador for other eye gaze users, and help people realise that even when you are non-verbal, you still have lots to say”.

Stephen Frew, Footprints Business and Charity Manager, said “Scarlett is an inspirational young lady and we’re delighted she has joined Footprints as our very first Young Ambassador.

Scarlett joining our wider charity team is incredibly exciting and comes at a time of growth for Footprints, as we expand the services we provide to children living with disabilities and connect with more families and partners.

We know that Scarlett will be a fantastic ambassador for Footprints and also for eye gaze technology, which we use at our centre and during our Conductive Education sessions.”

Thank you to Scarlett and her family for their support, and welcome to the Footprints team!
